FC SPARTAK AND INTER AGREE ON TRANSFER OF ALEX
Managers of FC Spartak Moscow and Sport Club Internacional have reached an agreement today on the transfer of the 26-year-old attaching half-back Alex.

Within the next few days, Alex will undergo a medical examination in Germany. If he passes it, the deal will be sealed and the player will sign a personal contract with Spartak.

Alex Raphael Meschini (175 cm) is considered one of the best attacking half-backs in Brazil. He began his professional career in Guarani in 2003 and has played for Inter Porto Alegre since 2004, achieving a lot of successes. Alex is a three-time winner of the state of Gaushu and has won the Cup of Libertadores, the South American Cup and the Recopa Cup. In 2006, Inter became the world club champion after defeating Barcelona of Spain in the final game by the score of 1 to 0. In Inter, the half-back, who is known for his excellent dribbling technique and brilliant left-foot shots, has played in 158 games and scored a total of 53 goals.

Alex has played twice for the Brazilian national team: on October 12 of the past year, he substituted Kaka in the 70th minute of the World Cup 2010 qualification match against Venezuela (4-0), and on 19 November 2008 he substituted Robinho in a friendly game against the Portuguese national team (6-2).
